Technical Assistance
The Arab Monetary Fund provides technical assistance to its member countries to support the development of economic and financial policies, strengthen institutional frameworks, and enhance technical expertise, contributing to reform implementation, economic stability, and sustainable growth.
What We Do
Technical assistance covers four main areas: public finance policy and management; monetary policy and financial and banking sector development; statistics; and the digital economy and digital infrastructure.
Through these areas, the Arab Monetary Fund supports the development of policies and institutional frameworks, improves the efficiency of public resource management, strengthens financial sector stability, and enhances the availability and quality of data needed for economic decision-making.
How We Work
Technical assistance begins with a request from a member country outlining its needs and objectives. The Arab Monetary Fund reviews the request in coordination with the relevant authorities and designs a programme defining the scope of work, activities, expected outcomes, and implementation timeline, in line with the priorities of the member country and the beneficiary institution.
Technical assistance is delivered through short- or long-term technical missions and study visits that provide opportunities to learn from the experiences of other countries, depending on the identified needs and programme requirements.

The Arab Monetary Fund draws on its specialized expertise, collaborates with regional and international institutions, and engages external experts to provide the technical expertise required to implement technical assistance programmes, in line with the needs of member countries and the agreed programme objectives.
Programme outputs are reviewed in coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure their quality and relevance to the needs of beneficiary institutions.
